If you don't currently have as much money as you desire, you might spend a lot of time dreaming about what you'll buy and do when you become wealthy. That's great - the universe doesn't know the difference between your fantasies and the 'reality' that you're living, and will bring things and events to you in accordance with what you're thinking and feeling. Dreams are an essential part of the manifestation process.
But if you've been dreaming for a long time, and the increased prosperity you desire seems to be remaining a dream, you might want to take a closer look at how you're thinking about your future wealth. Is it only to be found in the future? By that, I mean, when you picture your wealthy life, do you see it as happening at some future point - in a few decades when you retire (in the worst case!), or maybe a few years down the line when your business takes off, or even a few months away? If that's the case, you have a clue to why your wealth is remaining a dream - you're keeping it away by always seeing it as a future experience.
Why is this? Remember how the creative process works. You form visions (thoughts/feelings/mental pictures) of how you desire your life to be. According to Abraham, the universe/Source immediately becomes one with those desires - and from that moment, they're yours. You just need to find vibrational harmony with them, and they'll then manifest physically. The universe doesn't pass any kind of judgment on your desire, nor does it try to interpret it. It just acts on the data (thoughts and feelings) that you are sending out, and it takes your signals literally. So envision your wealth as being part of your future experience, and the universe will obediently create that wealth for you - and it'll stay in the future!
If you have a habit of seeing only your future success, you can train yourself to bring your visualisations into the present.
- When visualising how you'll feel when you're as wealthy as you desire, see yourself with your desires fulfilled now.
Imagine how your wealth will feel as vividly as you can on every sensory level - don't just 'see' an image in your mind's eye, but touch it, hear it, taste it, smell it and touch it to create the impression of success on a visceral level - now.
- Bring the experience of wealth and success directly into your physical experience now.
Maybe you can't afford your dream car yet, but a test drive costs nothing! If you can't afford the annual fee for that exclusive gym membership, could you get a day pass? Go for viewings at luxury houses that are for sale. Walk around designer stores, have tea in top class hotels... you get the picture! You don't have to spend a lot of money to get a taste of your desired luxury lifestyle.
By taking these steps you're sending a powerful message to the universe, and to your own subconcious; that you belong in such environments. The more comfortable you feel around wealth, the more quickly you'll attract lots of it.
- Be careful when setting deadlines for your goals.
Some people find that putting time limits on their goals is motivating. If this works for you, then by all means do it, but just be careful that you're not subconsciously expecting to only reach our goal at that point. The universe can manifest what seems like a large goal in seconds - it certainly doesn't need several months to create anything. And you don't either, when you're not justifying your success by the amount of action/work you take before you allow it to manifest! So keep your timetables if they feel good, but don't get attached to them. Be open to the possibility that your desire could easily arrive much sooner than you expect!
- Use present tense affirmations.
If you use affirmations, make sure that you say 'I am...' not 'I will be...' or 'I'm becoming...' Remember, the universe takes you at your word. Affirming (with feeling, not just words) that you are
wealthy right now is another way of aligning with the vibration of your desire - right now.
- Don't glorify 'the quest'.
Many people see themselves as being on a 'spiritual quest' or some other kind of journey to becoming the person they want to be. The danger in this is getting caught in the trap of always seeking something more before allowing yourself to feel successful. As Abraham notes, it is in our nature to constantly have new desires, and we need to know that we never get it done. So given that we'll always have new desires that have not yet manifested, there's no virtue in being on some quest that can never be completed! We're always perfect as we are now, unfulfilled desires and all. You don't need to prove worthiness by fulfilling some noble quest before you can have what you want. You're enough - in every way - right now. All you need do is fully align with your desire.
If you're a person with the habit of living your life in the future, it can be challenging to get into the mindset of really 'feeling' your desires as being fulfilled right now. But it's essential for success, and once you begin building that new habit, it gets easier and easier, as law of attraction brings more and more similarly empowering thoughts.
So, remember - every desire you now have could be manifest within days, if not hours (or less!). The universe is fully capable of lining up circumstances to deliver them to you that quickly. It might take some practice to allow yourself to let wealth in as quickly as the universe can deliver it, but by getting into the habit of living your dreams in your mind as if they are real now, you'll be able to live them physically much more quickly than you would otherwise!
